Muscular Dystophy

Why do people stand on the side of the road collecting money for charities?  I get a little annoyed at this and I discovered the reason why today.  I had to run out to a sporting goods store earlier this evening.  I got stopped at a light on my way to the store.  The men were out collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy.  Okay it’s a great cause and I have no problem with donating a couple of bucks when I see them.  But then when I was leaving the store to go home another group of men were collecting on the left hand of the road.  So you feel guilty for not giving any money, yet you just gave it to that charity 10 minutes ago.

I had to vent I have this guilt when it comes to not helping even though I did!  I think it goes back to my childhood and putting money in the basket at church.  There is something about that type of giving as well where you feel like a bad person if you don’t give anything, and you feel like everybody is watching you not give.  This reminds me of one story I heard in the news earlier this week.  That was incredible that that man won $3 million on a scratch off ticket and donated the whole thing to his church anonymously!  How incredible is that?!  I think it is time for me to shut up now.  We will continue with more about money and giving later.

Safe “green” Repellent Products

I love living out in the country. I grow up in the city and continued to live in city until I was in my early 30′s. When I got married in 2006 I knew that living in an apartment forever was not going to work. Besides that I wanted a driveway so I could work on my car and motorcycle. My wife and I found a home we both loved out in the country with a lot of land and a long driveway. The yard was huge and there were flowers planted all around it. We knew the previous owners did a great job with the landscaping and we were determined to keep it up.

The first year we were here we planted flowers. Little did we know that everyday we would have dear and raccoons, rabbits, turtles, and the neighbors’ dogs visiting our yard. We didn’t mind it much, but it did wreck havoc on our flowers. That is why I was so happy to find the website www.havahart.com. This website offers safe animal repellent that you can spray on your yard to keep it looking great. Plus it is safe for the animals who may come along on a daily basis. There is a large assortment of “green” products that are not only safe for the environment but are safe for the animals as well. Go to rabbit repellent to purchase whatever you need to keep your flower garden looking beautiful.
