I believe all men at one time or another have wondered what it would be like to walk in the footsteps of a famous superhero.  Whether it be spiderman, superman, or even Indiana Jones we have all fantasized about being strong and courageous.  That is why I love Halloween so much because you can be anything or anybody that you want.  I can remember back to when I was in 5th grade and one of my classmates named Grant dressed as a woman in high heels and all.  I thought it was hilarious.  A little weird too since I was only a child but he looked so funny that I couldn’t stop staring at him.  In fact if you didn’t know Grant you might have mistaken him for a little girl.  That was how good his costume was.

Ever since then there have been years when I have decided to dress as a women to be funny.  The terrifying and scary costumes get old after awhile.  So when I was searching the internet for costumes I came across this website www.halloweenadventure.com and found the perfect costume.  This year I have decided to go as one of the Pink Ladies.  I love the movie Grease and love the 70′s style.  I am going to be Rizzo for Halloween this year.  You can go to Halloween Costumes and find your favorite costume for halloween as well.

I was in Ohio this past week on business but also at a friends wedding.  I thought some of the conversations that we had were very interesting.  One in particular that struck me was about the real estate market and how it is there compared to where I live in Washington DC.  One woman named Emily mentioned how she wanted to purchase a house on the water (I’m assuming Lake Michigan).  She said she had to wait because the house was way out of her price range and only a rich person would be able to afford it.  Of course that made me curious as to how much it was going for and she said $180,000.

I realize that that is a lot of money, but compared to some markets that would be considered a great price.  It just shocked me how the midwest is so different than the east coast.  Driving to Ohio in a car takes about 6-7 hours yet once you get there everything is half the price compared to the Washington DC area.  On top of that when she told me she only paid $420 for rent each month I almost chocked.  I know where I will be moving when I decide to leave the DC area.

I don’t know who invented internet dating, but that person was a genius!  They should be awarded the highest honor.  It just might be the area I live in that makes me feel this way.  All I know is that when I was single I was working such long hours and busy with church, and finishing my degree that I had no time or energy to put into meeting someone to date.  Now actually dating was easy enough to squeeze in but meeting someone who I actually wanted to date was too much of a challenge and required more time than I had to give.  So when Great Expectations was introduced to me I was more than happy to join in on the fun.  It was the greatest dating site and still is today.  They host local events for singles so you can actually meet single people in person instead of just seeing a small picture and reading a quick bio.

I have run across a scary thought a few times over the past couple of weeks.  The thought that keeps coming to mind is will there be more crime if the economy continues the way it is going?  I was too young to remember exactly what the situation was the last time we were feeliing such difficult times.  For some reason I can see people becoming desperate and then doing desperate things.

I hate to think this way but even tonight I was reminded of the tough economy.  I went to the grocery store pretty late because we were out of everything!  I tried to be careful and only buy about $100.00 to hopefully get us through the rest of this month.  As I was leaving the store I kept thinking about how easy it would be for someone to walk up and steal my grocery’s!  An awful thought I know but I really felt that fear.  I was all alone in the parking lot, in the dark with a lot of food.  I don’t know either I need to stop watching the news or stop shopping late at night.

I don’t know what it is about prisoners that fascinate me so much.  I think the fact that they have done such bad things in life that would actually cause them to get into prison in the first place.  Wouldn’t you think that normally people would think about these things before actual committing a crime?  I found an interesting website online all about prisoners it is called inmate search.  If you are like me and are fascinated with people who are spending time behind bars than you will want to get on this website.
