Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays for many reasons. Spending time with friends and family, having time off from work with pay, Christmas shopping, food, hot chocolate, etc. This year my family and extended family have decided to do things a little differently though. Since the economy is in a tough state right now, instead of buying gifts for everyone we have one family to buy for. I was lucky enough to get my sister and her family which includes 3 little girls. Since they live up in Michigan I decided to go all out and give them the gift of going to Disney World. The girls are 6, 7, and 8 and they love Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Not to mention Cinderella, Goofy, and all the other Disney characters.
I went to a great website called discount Disney tickets”>discount Disney tickets and found discounted tickets for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. They are going to love this gift. There are so many fun things involved including a parade, live entertainment, fireworks, special holiday cookies and treats, and snowflakes. Yes snowflakes will be drifting through the air in Orlando, Florida. I am so excited thinking about it I think I am going to want to go too.

The Cold November Weather
We are experiencing some unexpected cold weather this year. Of course it always gets cold like this but just not so early in the season. December hasn’t hit yet and there have already been snowflakes and freezing temperatures. Last night I was so cold leaving work that I decided to go to the gym to try to warm up.
It was so nice to go and sit in the hot tub for about 45 minutes. Then I went in the sauna after that. The pool was a little cold so I didn’t go in for a swim, but I loved the sauna. I felt so good afterwards that I went grocery shopping and even ate ice cream when I got home. The warmth from the sauna and hot tub managed to keep my body warm throughout the night. I need to head out to the gym more often.

The Inauguration
Living in DC you seem to forget how fortunate you are. Especially when history is being made right in your own backyard. With the inauguration around the corner I have become well aware of how lucky I am to be living in the nations capital. Not only are all the hotels full for that weekend, but people are renting out places to stay for huge amounts of money. One hotel I called that is about an hour from DC told me there rooms were going for $500. that night. I also heard that places close to DC, for example Arlington, are being rented for thousands. It seems crazy but this election is one that will go in history as a turning point for America.
