My wife and I have some relatives in from out of town and we decided to take them sightseeing.  We just got back home from walking around the zoo as well as DC all day.  It was a lot of fun and the weather wasn’t too bad, just a little bit colder than what they are use to.  They are from Florida so they are not use to the 40 degree temperatures that we are having.

I have to say the zoo is a completely different place in the winter than it is in the summer.  The animals were all out and running around and playing.  I think they like the cooler temperatures.  Plus it wasn’t too busy so you could actually walk around and see everything you wanted to without a huge crowd.  It was a great experience and I am thinking about going up there again once we get some snow.

I can’t believe it is already Christmas Eve!  Every year Christmas seems to sneak up on you but this year in particular it came way too fast.  I am really excited about this year though.  Mainly for two reasons, one my wife is coming with me to Midnight Mass and the second is the focus this year was not on buying gifts!  Which makes me very happy.

Tonight I am working until about 11:00 pm and then I am heading home to pick her up for church.  I grew up catholic, but have never been to midnight mass before so this is going to be something special for us.  Tomorrow we will be celebrating the Holiday with family and friends and then Friday things return to normal.  I am looking so forward to the next couple of days and just keeping in mind the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus.

I started the little bit of shopping that I need to do – there are a few more things I need to get. Then I have to buy some wrapping paper and ribbon, and find someone to help me deal with the gift wrap. I’m all thumbs.

In a couple of minutes now I am going to be doing a phone interview.  I’m a little nervous about it because I have never done one before.  You would think that it would be easier than an actual face to face interview, but for some reason I don’t think it is going to be.  I’m trying to stay occupied by doing some blogging.  Writing has always been something that helps.  She called as I was writing this blog.  That was very interesting.

The conversation started out pretty well but I’m not sure if she is going to hire me or not.  At the end she seemed to cut the conversation short.  I gave her my availability and the it ended.  She did say that she would be back in touch with me within a week.  I will just hope for the best.  The great thing about being my age is that I don’t get too disappointed when things don’t turn out the way I expect.  I know that if it is meant to be it will be.

I hate to say it but truth be told that everyone has some flaw that they wish they could change.  Whether it be larger breasts or a scar on your face that you wish were no longer there.  The list is endless and I believe that at one time or another we have all thought about plastic surgery to take care of these issues.  Sometimes exercise and diet alone wont do it.  Take for example Angelina Jolie, she is one of the most beautiful women in the world and she even had to have a tummy tuck after having twins.  It is not something that we should be ashamed of any longer.  My sister is another example of a success story with plastic surgery.  She went in and had breast augmentation and she looks amazing.  Not only is her body gorgeous now but her self-esteem is through the roof.
