Buying a New Mattress
The time has come when my wife and I are in need of a new mattress. I love buying new mattresses. Now shopping for one and buying the best one to suit both of our needs is another story. I like a firm mattress and she likes a soft one. I like firm pillows and she likes feather pillows. Do you see where I’m going with this? Spring Fever
Okay it is almost March and it is still freezing cold outside. I know I shouldn’t really complain since we only had about a day of snow this winter. But I’m complaining because it is cold out there. I just want to be able to open my door to the front porch and feel the warm Spring air. Oh no that doesn’t appear to be happening anytime soon. In fact for the next month the temperatures are still going to stay within the 30 and 40 degree range. I am counting the days though. I figure if I can get through another 30 days I will be home free. I’ve already survived 90 winter days what’s another 30!

The Hard Times we are Facing
What is going on with all of us? I just read about the church deacon and father of four who is in jail for holding up a bank last week. The bad economy and hard times are hitting us harder than anyone would have ever expected. People are committing more crimes, like stealing from the girl scouts, and now this man who has no criminal record tries to rob a bank. I truly think people are just really scared. Yesterday on the radio they were saying that things are as bad as they were back in 1929 during the great depression. Let’s just hope we all get through this without too many more episodes of people doing crazy things like robbing banks.
