That is right folks she had 8 babies at one time. Unbelievable as it sounds it is true. Yesterday I read a follow-up story on her and her children. The article mentioned how she already has 6 kids at home and how all of these 8 babies were doing fine. Including breathing on their own which is a huge accomplishment for a baby who weighs only 2-3 pounds. The other part of the article went into the whole money issues related to raising 8 I mean 14 kids!
Typically you would have companies such as Pampers or Johnson & Johnson stepping in to allleviate some of the cost. A years supply of diapers or formula would be nice. Unfortunately for this mother nobody is stepping in because of the controversy revolving around the way she had the children. This was done through In-vitro fertilization. The companies are claiming that being associated with someone who would make such a selfish mistake may cause problems for their company. Essentially the woman cannot expect the world to take care of her because of a poor decision that she made on her own. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
I love living in America for many reasons, but one main reason is the diversity among people. When you walk down the street or walk into a grocery store you are more than likely going to run into blacks, whites, asians, indians, you name and they will be there. So when I ran across a website called Asian Chat Rooms it just made me even more proud to be part of the diversity. I thought of those Asians that are struggling here in the U.S. and missing their unique culture. Websites such as these are great tools for meeting individuals with similar backgrounds and interests. There again what a wonderful country we live in with so much diversity.
My life has become incredibly busy over the past couple of days and it’s beginning to drive me nuts. Everytime I feel I’m getting ahead and putting a dent in my work I end up remembering something else that needs to be done. The time is passing so quickly and I can’t seem to stop and take a breath. I don’t even have kids of my own but I’m starting to get a feel for what parents must go through. Thank God for writing this blog. It allows me to slow down if only for a minute and focus on something besides my to do list. I think when this starts happening it means you’re in need of a vacation. I guess once I’m done blogging I’ll be looking into where we are going to go on our next trip. At least that is one task I love doing-planning a trip!
Is dating getting harder and harder these days or is it just me? I have a buddy or two who can’t seem to find a date no matter where they go or what they do. Fortunately enough for them they were turned on to the fact that you can meet some great people online. There first search brought them to www.blackchatcity.com. The reason why they both love this site is because you talk and get to know the person first. It’s been great for both of them and they have both met beautiful black women. Take a look for yourself at Black Chat Room.
Lately I have been on Facebook a lot. Okay to a point where I feel I have become a little obsessed with it. I don’t know why but I love it! The weird thing is it has started to effect my dreams. Last night I had a dream that I went to my twentieth class reunion and saw 2 of my old highschool friends there together. I mean together as in a couple. That may not seem that strange but I know for a fact that both of them are married to other people!
Then I talked to one of my old neighbors and I have been thinking about her a lot. Oh weird things are happening. When you start having memories of things that happened in your life 20 years ago you can pretty much say that you are an adult. Okay even if you don’t feel like one or act like one you pretty much are one.
