I woke up early yesterday morning and decided to turn the T.V. on for a few minutes. I couldn’t fall back asleep so I was hoping to find something entertaining on. As luck would have it I saw a great movie. It was called 21 and was based on a true story. It revolved around the case of 4 college boys taking over Vegas by learning how to count cards. When I say taking over Vegas I believe they made something over a million dollars in BlackJack. For a skill that takes a few months to master that aint too bad. The movie is great especially if you’re into gambling.

Credit Cards
Filed under: Business; No CommentsThese days more than before it’s important to have credit cards, but even more important to pay them on time in order to keep the interest rates down. The other night I was online trying to find credit card companies who would offer me a card with low interest rates. Last month unfortunately one of my payments was made 2 days late and the interest rate went from 3.9 to 27%. It’s crazy how they are not giving any leeway. I called and tried to get it reduced back down and they would not budge.
It’s unfortunate but it’s a sign of our hard economic times. Essentially what I did was get online and apply for other cards. It would have been really nice if I would have been able to find out whether or not I was accepted right then and there. That is why there are companies like www.merchantacceptance.com who are there for you. Go check out the site they give testimonials from people who have used them. It truly is the quickest, easiest solution to applying for a card, and the best part is you get an immediate answer. You wont be sorry go to credit card processing

Fighting the Economy
Filed under: Business; No CommentsI have been feeling pretty good lately about some positive changes that have happened already in 2009! There was a day or two when the problems with our economy and the job challenges did not even cross my mind. Unfortunately things changed this past weekend when a close friend lost his job.
Then I woke up this morning to find some disturbing news on Yahoo. I was skimming through the news stories and found one on 15 companies that may not survive 2009. Listed were everything from automakers to drug stores. I saw Rite Aid, Chrysler, Sbarro, and many more common names listed. It’s a horrible thought to think these companies may go out of business and even more unfortunate for all of the people who will be losing their jobs.

This has got to be one of the best sites out there. The person who thought of this was a genius. I was just on the phone last night talking to a buddy who told me his grandfather was just put into a retirement community. Put in is the key phrase here he didn’t want to go and he has no desire whatsoever to be there. That’s when my friend had a great idea and told him he could get internet hook-up and be able to read the news, send emails, and stay in touch with people even if he no longer was able to drive or get around on his own.
Of course his grandfather loved the idea and now he has access to the world right from his room. He found the website Senior Chat Room and has quickly made a lot of friends. He has even found some old friends on here. The sight enables people who are older with similar interests to talk and become friends. Believe me it’s a lifesaver. I wish my grandma knew about this site when she was still living. She lived for company to come and talk to her. Her greatest desire was to have someone to talk to. I am so thankful for sites like this.
