Stress Levels
I’m interested in doing a study on men and women to see who has better coping skills when it comes to stress. I brought this up with a few of my coworkers today. We are in the middle of layoffs and have seen everything from women losing it in the general managers office to men crying over being laid off. Of course the news would be hard to take but which sex seems to deal better with stress.
The conclusion I came to suggests that neither one sex has better coping mechanisms. It’s all in the personality of the person. We all know that everyone is unique and everyone has their own unique ways of dealing with life. The ups and downs may effect one person completely different than another.

Doing Hard Time
I read an interesting story today on CNN. It involved a man who was wrongly accussed of murder over 10 years ago. I think it is amazing these days how DNA evidence can be so exact that the innocent can go free even after 10 years in prison. This story really touched me because the man was my same age and I just couldn’t imagine all he has gone through in his life already.
He mentioned in the article that even when he is having a bad day or struggling with money nothing is as bad as prison. He is all alone and is having a difficult time finding a job, yet he still is appreciating the fact that his life is so much better than it has been in the past. I hope enough people see this article and reach out to help this man. Whether it be with a job, a nice place to live or anything that can make his life a little bit easier. After all he has been through I think he deserves at least that much.
