The new problem that has hit the news is the flu.  Not only is this a new flu but it is one that has already killed a number of people.  The world seems to have gone crazy since the news broke about the swine flu.  People have been shown wearing masks around, avoiding shaking hands and physical contact, and taking precautions when it comes to flying or traveling to other countries.  The outbreak seems to have occurred in Mexico and has now traveled across the world.  It seems weird to have such an epidemic happen in such a short period of time.  The good news is it seems to have slown down in the rate at which it is effecting people.  We’ll see as the days go by as to how many people this flu will actually hit.

This has been a strange month for weather.  It has rained a lot which is normal for the month of April, but the changes in the temperature are so unusual.  It has been extremely cold for this time of the year. I was still wearing my winter coat up through the first two weeks of the month.  Then all of a sudden the weather was beautiful.  It was in the high 80′s yesterday.  Unfortunately, today we woke up to rain and of course cooler temperatures along with it.  The temperature has dropped 30 degrees from yesterday.  Hopefully over the next week or so warm weather will be here to stay.  At least for a few months.

What is going on in the world these days?  I hate to say it but it seems like everyones debt and the economy are driving people to do crazy things.  I read about another man who shot his family and himself because of depression due to debt.  I read about another suicide in the news to due all the stress.  I can’t even read the paper anymore or watch the news or else I’m going to get depressed. 

The worse news I read about recently is this man from Boston who is wanted for killing a woman he met on Craigslist.  It seems he was luring women in to do massages in hotel rooms and then robbing them.  His last victim was also found dead.  The report said it appeared that she fought back and then he shot her.  Oh it’s horrible this world has gone crazy.  I think I’m going to take a break on the news for a while and focus on some more positive things instead.

Ebay is one of my favorite sites on the internet.  They have great products for great prices and a huge selection of things as well.  I have bought things off of Ebay for years, but finally made the first purchase for myself the other week.  It was a digital camera.  I received it in the mail yesterday.  It was a used item which I was a little worried about but everything seems to be fine with it.  I was using it last night at an event in DC.  It worked great and the pictures turned out perfectly too.  The best part of the whole deal is that I bought it for $29.99 which is less than half price if I would have bought it from a store.  I don’t really mind that it’s been used either, because there is a 30 return policy on it.  Like I said I love Ebay.

Just recently my wife and I have decided to put hardwood floors in our home.  We have lived here now for 4 years and have 2 cats that have torn up the carpeting.  We put off getting new floors in for as long as we could, but now it’s time to do it.  We didn’t know what to expect at first until we researched it a little.  We wanted to put something in that looked nice, but also was reasonably priced.  We knew exactly what we could and couldn’t afford.  It was great to finally find Seattle flooring, because they not only offered everything we were looking for but their prices were fantastic too.

We found the most beautiful hardwood floors on their website.  We actually used one of the photos from their website to come up with the cherry wood floors and the new design for our kitchen.  The job Seattle flooring did on our house was amazing.  We now have top quality floors throughout our house.  Our house looks bigger and brighter.  We couldn’t be happier with the results.  I would recommend Seattle floors to any and all of my friends and family.  The quality, the service and the prices are unbeatable.
