Comedy Club

zanies

We are lucky to have a good comedy club here. The club has top name comedians and entertainers every weekend. I’ve seen some great acts at Zanies, including John Pinchot and Tommy Chong. They were hilarious and I liked they way they hung around after the show and talked with people outside on the sidewalk. Good times!

Redbox Games

I’ve been renting movies from Redbox for about 3 years. I like that they are all over town and I can always find something good to rent. But now I hear that they are going to rent games for the Playstation 3, Xbox and Wii. I wonder if they will have such a great variety any more or if this will limited their inventory?

Post Office Blues

I had a box of toys that I bought for my nephew’s birthday gifts and since I can’t attend the party, I wanted to mail them to his house. I bought them in plenty of time to wrap and box them for shipping. Would you believe that this little box of plastic army men weighed less than 10 pounds but cost me $22.59 to ship them? Holy smokes! That costs too much!

Messenger

Does anyone use Yahoo messenger anymore? I remember when the private messengers were just coming out. A lot of my friends signed up for the ICQ service, and then Yahoo started enhancing their messenger with a lot of features. I used to use Yahoo messenger a lot when I played multiplayer online games, but now that I have moved away from that arena I find I rarely have the need for it any longer.

Early Comics

comics

I just realized that so many comics characters from the early days of comics books and animated films were targeted only to adults. The children had Disney characters eventually, but in the early days even the Disney characters were adult in nature, such as Betty Boop and Fritz the Cat.
