I had a big wheel bike, but couldn’t wait until I got a real bike. Once I got my 20″ bike, I was free! I rode that bike all over town. Funny how a bike was my most favorite toys and other people lament the loss of their teddy bears.

That costs too much!

I just found out from a friend of mine that he and his wife are headed to the Bahamas for a four day weekend. How great for them that is. I couldn’t help but feel a little envious. I know that’s bad but I tried to contol it. I think I’m doing a little too much of working and not quite enough of living. I feel myself becoming envious of others that are going on vacation and losing their jobs. How funny is that to envy someone who just lost their job?? I think it’s time to take my wife to her favorite vacation destination. You guessed it Las Vegas! Time to stop writing and start packing.

Okay I understand that it is the beginning of May which usually reminds us of the beginning of Summer. Not to mention the end of the school year. So why is it so cold out still! I am still wearing my heavy winter coat to work. I know exactly what you are thinking- global warming. Well it seems a little weird to me to have the temperatures in the 40′s during May and in the 70′s during November. Does global warming mean pretty soon we are going to be celebrating Christmas in our bathing suits on our decks and patios?? Does it mean we will never again see a white Christmas? This global warming stuff is a little too strange for me. That’s all I have to say have a nice day and stay warm if you can.

This has been a strange month for weather. It has rained a lot which is normal for the month of April, but the changes in the temperature are so unusual. It has been extremely cold for this time of the year. I was still wearing my winter coat up through the first two weeks of the month. Then all of a sudden the weather was beautiful. It was in the high 80′s yesterday. Unfortunately, today we woke up to rain and of course cooler temperatures along with it. The temperature has dropped 30 degrees from yesterday. Hopefully over the next week or so warm weather will be here to stay. At least for a few months.

One of my friends just got laid off about 2 weeks ago and he still hasn’t tried to find a job yet. I guess since he was at the company for 13 years he figured he needed a little bit of a break. So now he is not working and just decided that he would spend a few weeks relaxing. I don’t know how I feel about this. On one hand he is right that he has been working hard for a long time. On the other hand he is just expecting to collect unemployment for as long as he can and then he is going to think about finding a job.

The question I have is that I don’t understand if our government does too much for people or not enough. You always hear that those who need assistance are not getting what they need. Then on the other hand there are those that are fully capable of working who get assistance because they don’t want to work.

I don’t know how many groups have been around for as long as U2. I remember listening to their music way back in the 80′s. At my high school they were huge. Back then unfortunately I was too young and too broke to see them live in concert. All that has changed since it is 20 years later and they are on tour once again. A website called U2 tickets sells and buys U2 tickets in a fast and safe way. In fact the sales are all gauranteed. Get Me In is part of a larger chain called Ticketmaster so you don’t have to worry at all if the transaction is safe. Take a look for yourself at their website and we’ll see you at the next U2 show!

This has been an interesting day. I had the day off but got nothing done that I had planned to. I had a couple of projects for work to do that I didn’t even get a chance to start. It’s really no big deal since I have tomorrow off as well. This morning I got a phone call from an old friend that I haven’t talked to in a long time. I ended up going over to visit him today. It was such a great visit and I ended up spending a good 2-3 hours talking with him. Then I got stuck in traffic. When I finally arrived home I had an email waiting from another old friend. I swear this was an interesting day. Unfortunately I received an email from her because she had just lost her job from a company she has been with for 13 years. I was shocked and saddened by the news. I think tonight I’m going to try to go to bed early so I can pray for friends and family and also give thanks for everything I have in my life right now.

Since there are two woman in my life that are currently pregnant I thought this would be a great blog to write about and brag about an amazing maternity store. I guess I should make it clear who the 2 women are since someone could get the wrong idea. The two women are my wife and sister. The both became pregnant at the same time which is great. Yet the cost of the children joining our family is adding a little bit of stress. That is why I was so excited to find maternity clothes. It’s a maternity store online that offers maternity clothes at up to 75% off! These are good, fashionable maternity clothes at 75% off! This website is amazing. I immediately told my wife and she immediately emailed my sister. Go check it out for yourself and take advantage of the coupon they offer as well.

I love my wife so much. I work late at night and sometimes after work I just want to get home and get to bed. It is so great to have such a great wife that will do the grocery shopping, wash my clothes and clean my dishes when I am just too tired to do it. On top of that she doesn’t complain about doing any of these things for me. How did I get so lucky?

Just today I called her from work because I forgot to feed the cat. She was more than happy to help out with that. The other day I needed some help with a project I’m doing at work. She proof read the whole thing for me at midnight. I’m still wondering how did I get so lucky?!

I can’t help but think about this boating accident that happened in the Gulf of Mexico. One of the four boaters has been found and will recover. Unfortunately the three remaining boaters are somewhere still out in the water. The search for them was called off last night at sundown. So they have been lost at sea for 3 days and I guess that is when the coast guard typically will call off a search since the chances of survival are so narrow after 3 days.

It is such a tragic story for one man to survive this. Three of his closest friends have died and he has to go on and continue living through this. I always try to act like a Christian and think like a Christian, but there are some things in life you just can’t understand.
