With the holiday season coming up it makes you think about the past holidays and the fun times spent with friends and family.  I love this time of the year for that reason, plus I no longer live near my family so sending presents and remembering Christmas from years past is wonderful.  Last year I sent out about 20 presents across the country.  I’m sure the same thing is going to happen this year only I am going to purchase gifts online and have them sent directly.  That way it will save me a lot of time and expense.  I found a website that will send roasted nuts for free (2 day shipping) with a card attached.  How great is that all the work is done.

The best part about this website nut gifts allows you to customize the gift.  They are not all done and prepackaged for you.  I am so excited to be sending these home to my parents.  One tradition that we have held throughout the years is playing cards.  At the card table we always have peanuts and alcohol.  I don’t know why it is just what we do.  I know how happy my parents are going to be when they open up their gift of roasted nuts just in time for the big card game.  What a great Christmas this is going to be.

Is it just me or are we all feeling like we could use a vacation right about now? I have never been more in need of a vacation. I know the reason why I am feeling this way. The economy for one, the cold weather that has just hit the area I live in, and the whole crisis the country is feeling due to money and politics. Thank goodness I still have a job, and thank goodness I have vacation hours I need to use up before the end of the year. I know money is tight but I found an amazing website with beaches that are unbelievable and booked a vacation. The website is called Kissimmee vacation homes. My first stop will be in Florida at http://rentalo.com/vacation-rentals/siestakey/. Then I am headed off to http://rentalo.com/vacation-rentals/breckenridge/ to do what I do best sit by a fireplace and drink and ski of course. I figured I have two weeks worth of vacation why not make the most of it.

If the stress has been getting to you too take a look for yourself at this website http://rentalo.com and book your next getaway. It’s fast, affordable, and easy to do and you wont regret it.<img src=”http://tinyurl.com/65z6fp” />

I don’t know who invented internet dating, but that person was a genius!  They should be awarded the highest honor.  It just might be the area I live in that makes me feel this way.  All I know is that when I was single I was working such long hours and busy with church, and finishing my degree that I had no time or energy to put into meeting someone to date.  Now actually dating was easy enough to squeeze in but meeting someone who I actually wanted to date was too much of a challenge and required more time than I had to give.  So when Great Expectations was introduced to me I was more than happy to join in on the fun.  It was the greatest dating site and still is today.  They host local events for singles so you can actually meet single people in person instead of just seeing a small picture and reading a quick bio.

I have nothing bad to say about internet dating.  I have had two friends in the recent past who have met their husbands that way.  If you have ever thought about trying it give it a shot.  It is a little scary at first but once you do it you may be surprised at the wonderful results you get.  I met the greatest guys through internet dating.  Go to Great Expectations Dating Serviceand get started today-you won’t regret it.

I have run across a scary thought a few times over the past couple of weeks.  The thought that keeps coming to mind is will there be more crime if the economy continues the way it is going?  I was too young to remember exactly what the situation was the last time we were feeliing such difficult times.  For some reason I can see people becoming desperate and then doing desperate things.

I hate to think this way but even tonight I was reminded of the tough economy.  I went to the grocery store pretty late because we were out of everything!  I tried to be careful and only buy about $100.00 to hopefully get us through the rest of this month.  As I was leaving the store I kept thinking about how easy it would be for someone to walk up and steal my grocery’s!  An awful thought I know but I really felt that fear.  I was all alone in the parking lot, in the dark with a lot of food.  I don’t know either I need to stop watching the news or stop shopping late at night.

The other night I watched Studio 54 for the first time.  I know the movie is a couple of years old, but I didn’t have the chance to watch it when it first came out.  Plus I didn’t really want to watch it back then.  The previews for it turned it into something that I had no desire to see, but when I actually watched it it was great.

For those of you like me that have not seen it yet I highly recommend it.  Not only was it entertaining but it focused on a side of running a business that you never see.  Going out to bars and nightclubs can be very exciting, but we never really see what goes on behind the scenes.  Not only was this movie based on a true story but it was very educational as well.
