I bought a box mix to make brownies and it has been sitting in the pantry forever. Tonight I decided to make them for a nice snack after dinner. They turned out great and I had to hide a couple in the back of the cabinet to make sure that I have a couple left to take to work with me tomorrow.

My dessert choice is pecan pie. I am going to pass on the pumpkin pie this time and push that back to Christmas dinner, instead.

As much as I like to have turkey for dinner, I like turkey sandwiches even better. We have turkey more than the average family’s annual turkey at Thanksgiving. I bet Cameron buys a frozen turkey at least once a month. Sometimes she buys a whole turkey so I can have hot dark meat for dinner. But most of the time she buys a turkey breast, which is cheaper and faster to cook, and there is enough left over after dinner for sandwiches a few more days.

The new problem that has hit the news is the flu. Not only is this a new flu but it is one that has already killed a number of people. The world seems to have gone crazy since the news broke about the swine flu. People have been shown wearing masks around, avoiding shaking hands and physical contact, and taking precautions when it comes to flying or traveling to other countries. The outbreak seems to have occurred in Mexico and has now traveled across the world. It seems weird to have such an epidemic happen in such a short period of time. The good news is it seems to have slown down in the rate at which it is effecting people. We’ll see as the days go by as to how many people this flu will actually hit.

The cleanse I used was natural detox. It’s 100% natural and recognized by the FDA as safe. Give it a try for yourself you will not regret it.

I can’t help but think about this boating accident that happened in the Gulf of Mexico. One of the four boaters has been found and will recover. Unfortunately the three remaining boaters are somewhere still out in the water. The search for them was called off last night at sundown. So they have been lost at sea for 3 days and I guess that is when the coast guard typically will call off a search since the chances of survival are so narrow after 3 days.

It is such a tragic story for one man to survive this. Three of his closest friends have died and he has to go on and continue living through this. I always try to act like a Christian and think like a Christian, but there are some things in life you just can’t understand.

Over the past couple of weeks I keep hearing people talking about gardening and how it’s time to get back into their gardens. Just the other day at the grocery store the woman in front of me was talking to the cashier about how she is using a new technique this year on her garden by going organic. She said she was talking to her neighbor who did it last year and the amazing results that it accomplished.

Initially she was worried about the cost of using organic supplies. She decided to do some research online and found a site called gardening tips. This site explained how going organic would safe you money in the long run as well as make your vegetables and fruits much healthier to eat. Other products you can purchase on this site include Safer brand organic tomato and vegetable insect killer and Safer brand garden fungicide, RTU. These are just a couple of examples of what this site offers. The information you will find by going to www.saferbrand.com will safe you a lot of time and expense this year on all your gardening needs. Plus you will be helping the environment. Take a look for yourself.
