We had a terrible storm last night. The lightning and thunder woke me up and sent my dog scampering for the basement. It seems like every time we have a big thunderstorm she wants to go to her “safe place” in the basement – a little hidey hole right by the washer and dryer.

The lightning must have done some real damage nearby because my phone line went dead during the storm. This morning it was still not on, but thankfully we did have electricity and no property damage.

I wonder if my neighbors did this just to get me angry? I mean, we live “out in the country” but we don’t have to be rednecks! This brings all new meaning to the word, “flowerbed.”
